This course, which is a workshop-sharing experience, is specifically designed for caregivers who will eventually face the last moments of their loved one’s life. Through personal reflection on death and dying as well as skill development, participants will be better equipped to care for and accompany their loved ones when the time comes.
THEMES TO BE DISCUSSED:
A series of workshops which allow women caregivers to become aware of their level of self-esteem, identify their qualities, skills and personal sense of worth, while alleviating feelings of exhaustion and psychological distress. Our workshop fosters an environment of learning, sharing and exchange with others (8 meetings).
Workshops which offer awareness-raising and knowledge to reduce stress and prevent burnout in caregivers, in an environment of learning, sharing and exchange with others.
This workshop will help caregivers with their stress management. It will offer tips and relaxation techniques. At the same time, participants will learn to enhance their understanding of stress and its impact, identify personal stressors and build a "strategic toolbox" to maintain a balance in their everyday life. (6 meetings)
These meetings led by a counsellor, are structured to allow caregivers the time to exchange, to receive support and to learn. A different theme is covered each month.
