Former Caregivers (Monthly meetings)

Structured meetings led by a counsellor, to give caregivers who have lost their loved one, the opportunity for personal growth and development. These former caregivers, who have previously participated in our programs, receive continued support in a meeting place with others who have lived the same situation.

My first Christmas…Without you!  (1 meeting)

Mourning the loss of a loved one is particularly difficult during holidays, celebrations, birthdays and other special occasions, when the depth and magnitude of the grief may intensify. These feelings are normal and natural.  This session is offered to caregivers who have lost their loved one during the past year.  It provides the opportunity to share, receive support and be better prepared to face the holiday season.

Surviving Grief  (1 meeting)

As one moves through the mourning process, one sometimes feels like healing will never come. It then becomes very important to seek out human comfort and warmth for support in this difficult period of our life. This meeting for bereaved caregivers offers information about the stages of grief and, when necessary, referral to specialized resources.

It is also possible to be supported by a counsellor throughout this ordeal. For more information, visit this section.
