What is a Caregiver?
A caregiver is someone who take care of an loved one who is temporarily or permanently incapacitated due to a disability, an accident, illness or aging.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to live with your loved one in order to be identified as a “caregiver”. As soon as you are running errands, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, accompanying them to medical appointments or filling any other needs, you are a caregiver.
